The Technology Innovation for Commercialization (TECHNICOM) Program implemented by the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) thru the Technology Application and Promotion Institute (TAPI) invites eligible proponents to submit research and development (R&D) project proposals for CY 2017 funding.
Project proposals must be commercially viable, locally developed, and geared toward market-readiness. Financial and technical assistance shall be granted to R&D projects pursuing pre-commercialization activities, which will be implemented within a period of 1 year.
Listed below are the conditions for eligibility:
Qualified Proponent / Implementing Agencies
- R&D Institutions
- State Universities & Colleges (SUCs) & Higher Education Institutions (HEIs)
- Technology Business Incubatees (TBIs) or start-up companies
Project Leader
- Must not have any unsettled accountabilities with the DOST system
- Submission of curriculum vitae and other proof of capabilities
- Endorsement from the Head of Agency
- Eligibility of the project leader is to be determined by the TECHNICOM program unit
Collaborator / Technology Adopter
- Applicants are required to have at least one (1) collaborator / cooperating agency / industrial partner which may become the project's adopter or potential investor
- The collaborator / technology adopter must be a public or private Filipino entity.

- Field / Market Testing
Coverage of Assistance
- Direct or indirect cost including personal services, maintenance and other operating expenses and equipment outlay
- Budget details must be reflected on Line-Item Budget (LIB) and must be pursuant guidelines for DOST Grants-in-Aid (GIA) funds
