MANILA, Philippines — Earthquakes shook parts of Masbate and Eastern Samar yesterday, but no damage was reported, the Philippine Institute of Volcanology and Seismology said.
A magnitude 1.9 quake, which occurred at 9:37 a.m., was centered around five kilometers northeast of Masbate City, where it was felt at Intensity 1.
A magnitude 4 tremor struck 61 kilometers northeast of San Policarpo, Eastern Samar at about 12:06 p.m. It was felt at Intensity 1 in Catbalogan City.
