The Department of Science and Technology (DOST) – IX, through the National Academy of Science and Technology (NAST), is pleased to announce the call for nominations for the following NAST and NSTW awards:

NAST and NSTW AWARDS

1. Outstanding Technology Commercialization Award (Gregorio Y. Zara Medal)

2. Outstanding Research and Development Award

• Eduardo A. Quisumbing Medal (for Basic Research)

• Julian A. Banzon Medal (for Applied Research)

3. Outstanding Science Administrator Awards (Dioscoro L. Umali Medal)

4. Magsaysay Future Engineers/Technologist Awards (MFET)

5. Outstanding Young Scientist (OYS) Awards

6. TWAS Prize for Young Scientist in the Philippines

7. NAST Talent Search for Young Scientists

8. Outstanding Scientific Paper Awards

9. Outstanding Book and/or Monographs Awards

10. NAST Environmental Science Award

11. NAST Award for Outstanding Research in Tropical Medicine

12. Dr. Geminiano T. de Ocampo Visionary Awards for Medical Research

NAST, the government’s highest recognition and advisory body on science and technology, will give the awards and recognitions to deserving scientists on July 10, 2014 in Manila.

Deadline for submission of nominations for all awards is on the on the last working day of November 2013, except for MFET, which has a deadline on last working day of April 2014.
